Abigail Cypert was born about 1802, in Tennessee, the daughter of Francis Cypert II and Abigail Johnson.
Abigail married James Arnett, Jr. about 1821, in Wayne County, Tennessee. James Arnett, Jr. was born about 1804, in Jackson County, Tennessee, the son of James Arnett, born 1782, Louisa County, Virginia, and Mary Emily Robinson. The Arnett family moved to Wayne County about 1817.
James and Abigail raised their family in Wayne County. James was Sheriff of Wayne County for a time before the Civil War.
We have record of nine children, but there may have been others.
Abigail died in Wayne County. James died there in 1881. He is probably buried in Leatherwood Cemetery, in Wayne County.
