A. D. Nisler was born June 30, 1902, at Plumerville, in Conway County, Arkansas, the son of Andrew Sherman Nisler and Nancy E. "Nannie" Cargile. He had a twin sister, Lucille.
A. D. married Joyce Vey Holder on March 29, 1925. Joyce Holder was born November 7, 1903, the daughter of Jonathan Allen Holder and Minnie Mae Nowlin.
A. D. died November 5, 1977. Joyce died March 23, 1998. They are buried in the Plumerville Cemetery.
