Annie Elizabeth "Eliza" David was born June 23, 1841, in Campbell County, Tennessee, the daughter of Sampson David and Mary Brown Bridgman.
The 1850 Campbell County census shows 9 year old Eliza with her family. The family moved to Walker County, Georgia prior to the 1860 census. Eliza is shown as 19 on that census.
In the early 1860's several members of the David, Stanfield and Bridgman families moved to Arkansas. We believe Eliza's parents moved to Arkansas about that time.
Eliza married Aaron Allen Stanfield about 1865, in Arkansas. Aaron was the son of James Sampson Stanfield and Hannah Rosanna Broyles.
James Stanfield was born May 8, 1815, in Knox County, Kentucky, the son of Sampson Lafayette Stanfield (b. 1768, NC; d. 1837, KY) and Nancy Elizabeth Thomas (b. 1770; d. 1855). James Stanfield died September 12, 1886, in Sebastian County, Arkansas. Hannah Rosanna Broyles was born in 1818.
