The 1850 Anderson County, Tennessee census shows Alfred and Anna living next door to his brother Robert, Jr. and family. Two children appear on the census.
The 1860 Anderson County census shows Alfred Stukesberry, 33, a farmer with $700 real property and $700 personal property; Anna, 30; John, 11; Elizabeth, 9; Robert, 6; and Mary, 3 years old. Other members of the Stooksberry family were living nearby.
The 1870 Anderson County census, District 2, Wallace Cross Roads Post Office, shows Alfred Stooksberry, 45, a farmer with $1000 real property and $370 personal property; Anna, 40; Elizabeth, 18; Robert, 16, a farm laborer; Mary, 13; Isaac, 11, a farm laborer; Abba, 7; and William, 7. Living nearby were several of Alfred's siblings and their families.
The 1880 Anderson County census, District 2, shows Alfred Stookesberry, 60, a farmer; Ann, 51; Robert, 25, a farmer; Mary, 22; Isaac, 18, a farmer; and William, 17, a farmer.
Alfred died in 1889, in Union County, Tennessee, and is buried in New Loyston Cemetery in Union County.
