Andrew married Rebecca Kidwell in 1855, in Parker County, Texas. Rebecca Kidwell was born about 1839, in Illinois according to census.
The 1880 Parker County, Texas census shows the family living in Precinct #1. The census shows A. J. Bridgeman, 51; Rebecca, wife, 41; James F., son, 18; Margaret I., daughter, 3; and Eliza B. Bridgman, daughter 3 years old.
