Barton Farrell Gloden was born June 15, 1899, at Decatur, in Macon County, Illinois, the son of John Michael Gloden and Lillie Coulter.
Bart married Dorothea Mae Richterburg on September 25, 1921, in Texas County, Oklahoma. Dorothea Richterburg was born January 24, 1896, at Warrington, in Warren County, Missouri, the daughter of John O. Richterburg, born in Germany, and Ida Aydelott, born in Missouri. The marriage license shows Dorothea was from Elkhart, Morton County, Kansas, at the time of their marriage.
Bart and Dorothea settled at Farm Home, in Texas County, Oklahoma, to begin their family. Between 1931 and 1935, they moved to Elkhart, in Morton County, Kansas, where two of their children were born.
Bart died at Elkhart on October 2, 1974.
