(Information contributed by Patsy Fouts.) Bethena Calista Stanfield was born 1843 in Georgia, the daughter of Robert J. Stanfield and Bethena Meyers Waggoner.
Bethena married Russell M. Smith in 1860. Russell Smith was born October 1836 in Tennessee.
The 1900 Walker County, Georgia census shows Bethena had given birth to 7 children, but only 6 were still living.
