Christopher Columbus Crow

Christopher Columbus "Lum" Crow was born September 18, 1864, near Cave City, in Independence County, Arkansas, the son of John Henry Crow and Sarah Jane Rollins.

Lum married Victoria I. "Vick" Copeland, who was born October 27, 1868, in Independence County. Vick was a sister to Melissa Copeland who married Lum's brother, William Ruben "Rube" Crow.

Lum and Vick settled near Cave City in Sharp County, Arkansas. The family appears on the 1900 Sharp County census, living in Cave Township. Listed on the census are Christopher C., age 34; Victoria I., age 32; Virdo, age 16; Dottie, age 14; Azlee, age 11, Alvice, age 6; and Mariah V., age 4 years.

The 1910 Sharp County census shows the family in the same place. Listed on the census is Columbus, age 46; Dora, age 41; Oliver, age 26; Bruce, age 16; Viola, age 13; Nettie, age 7; and Esther, age 9 months. Their son Dottie had married appears on the census next door to Lum and Vick. Their daughter Azlee had also married and her family was living next door to Dottie's family.

Lum died November 8, 1946, near Cave City. Vick died there on October 23, 1954. They are buried in the Cave City Cemetery.
