Charles Butler was born about 1764, the son of William Butler and Mary (last name unknown).
Charles was married twice. He married Margaret (last name unknown). He also married his niece, Maria Butler, daughter of Armstead Butler and Mary "Polly" Wheatley. Armstead and Charles were brothers.
Maria died in 1859, in Crittenden County, Kentucky.
