Thomas Cicero Bridgman was born August 1, 1879, in Walker County, Georgia, the son of Franklin David Bridgman and Margaret "Mary" Ann Hall.
The 1880 Walker County, Georgia census shows Thomas S., 10 months old. We assume the census taker thought Cicero was spelled with an S.
Fourteen year old Thomas appears on the 1900 Walker County census with his widowed mother and siblings. The census shows Mary Bridgman, born July 1836, 68, widow, had given birth to 4 children, 3 children were still living; Anna, daughter, born Apr 1880, 20, weaver in cotton mill; Thos. C., son, born Aug 1886, 14, roller in cotton mill and Mary, daughter, born Jan 1882, 18, worked in cotton mill. Visiting with the family was Eva L. Plaster, granddaughter, born May 1895, 5 years old.
Thomas married Devora Lee Hise on July 19, 1900 in Walker County. Lee Hise was born September 20, 1885, in Georgia, the daughter of Charles Lee Hise (b. 1859, GA; d. 1883, GA) and Elizabeth Hancock (b. 1863, GA; d. 1943, GA).
The 1910 Walker County census shows Thomas C. Boarding with the family was Thomas' sister and her husband, Randy Pollard, 24, married 3 years, section hand at cotton mill and Mary Pollard, 25. Plaster, 34, widow, had given birth to 3 children, 2 children were still living, weaver at cotton mill; Jessie, son, 19, laborer at ore mill and Maggie, dau, 11 years old. (The census is incorrect about the number of Susie's children still living, as all three of them were living at the time.)
The 1920 Hamilton County, Tennessee census shows the family living in the city of Chattanooga. The census shows Tomi C.
