Clarence James "Clerrie" Hess was born February 16, 1878, at Marcella, in Stone County, Arkansas, the son of William T. Hess and Annie B. Heuse.
Clerrie married Julia Ivy on October 1, 1903, in Stone County. Clerrie and Julia had three children.
Clerrie married Lula Copeland on January 5, 1915, in Stone County. Lula Copeland was the daughter of J. Copeland and Carrie (last name unknown).
Clerrie died March 20, 1920.
