Comfort Annis Stanfield was born June 25, 1865, in Tennessee, the daughter of Thomas Peyton Stanfield and Comfort Annis Woody.
Annis married Alonzo T. Barlow on August 27, 1883, at Booneville, in Logan County, Arkansas. Alonzo Barlow was the son of William Barlow and Elfidy Wilson. He was a brother to Ida Barlow who married Annis' brother, Joseph Zachariah Stanfield.
Annis died June 12, 1941, at Booneville, Arkansas.
