Robert Ramsey Conway McClure was born July 31, 1861, in Arkansas. He was probably born in Madison County. He was the son of William Holliway S. McClure and Sarah Nancy Elizabeth Cargile.
Conway appears as 8 years old on the 1870 White County, Arkansas census. The family was living in the Latona area, in northwestern White County.
The 1880 White County census shows 18 year old Conway living at home with his parents.
White County tax records show that Conway paid taxes in Cane Township of White County in 1883.
In 1885, Conway paid taxes in Royal Township of White County. The McClure family was living near El Paso at that time.
Conway died September 1, 1887, possibly near El Paso, in Royal Township of White County.
