Eliza married Taylor O'Neal about 1877. Taylor O'Neal was born April 1847, in Missouri, the son of Preston O'Neal and Elizabeth Chaney.
The 1880 Brown County, Kansas census shows the couple living in the Town of Robinson. The census shows N. T. O'Neal, 33, laborer, born in Missouri and Eliza J., 30, wife, born in Missouri. Living with them was Eliza's brother, John R. Bridgman, 22, laborer, born in Kansas.
The 1900 Brown County census shows the couple had purchased a home in the Town of Robinson, where they lived for many years. They also adopted a daughter prior to 1900. The census shows Taylor O'Neal, born Apr 1847, 53, married 29 years, day laborer, owned his house; Eliza J., wife, born July 1849, 50, had given birth to no children and Cora, adopted daughter, born Apr 1895, 5, born in Kansas. Eliza Jane's mother and brother John were living together beside the O'Neal family.
The 1910 Brown County census lists Cora as 13 years old. It shows that Taylor and Eliza had been married for 33 years.
The O'Neals appear on the 1920 and 1930 census in their home in the Town of Robinson, in Brown County, Kansas.
