William Fletcher Crow

William Fletcher Crow was born December 13, 1879, at Cave City, in Independence County, Arkansas, the son of Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Crow and Arena "Renie" Green.

Fletcher married Judie Elizabeth Halbrook on September 21, 1899, in Van Buren County, Arkansas.    Judie Halbrook was born September 1877, in Arkansas, the daughter of John Reynolds Halbrook (b. 1840, TN; d. 1926, Van Buren Co, AR) and Frances L. Driver (b. 1853, Van Buren Co, AR; d. 1934, Van Buren Co). 

Fletcher and Judie settled near Scotland, in Van Buren County, Arkansas.    They appear on the 1900 and 1910 Van Buren County census, living in Craig Township.    The 1920 census shows the family living in Cadron Township, in Faulkner County, Arkansas.    Prior to 1930, the family moved to Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.    The 1930 census shows them living on Beard Street in the city of Shawnee, Oklahoma.  

    Fletcher died from pneumonia on March 5, 1934, at Cleveland, in Van Buren County, Arkansas.     He is buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, near Scotland, in Van Buren County.   The 1935 Shawnee, Oklahoma city directory shows Judie still living in their house on Beard Street.     Judie died May 23, 1953, in Chandler, Lincoln County, Oklahoma and is buried in Oak Park Cemetery at Chandler.
