George Washington Franks was born March 1879, in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of William Morton Franks and Emiline Paralee "Emily" Horton.
The Franks family moved to Searcy County, Arkansas, between about 1891 and 1897.
George married Ollie Fox on March 28,1904, Searcy County. Ollie Fox was born about 1884, in Arkansas.
George and Ollie settled in Conway County, Arkansas, and raised their family.
The 1930 Conway County census, Union Township, shows George W. Franks, rented his farm, 51, married at 24; Ollie, 46, married at 20; and Thomas M., 12 years old.
George and Ollie both died in Conway County and are buried in the Cedar Creek Cemetery, in Conway County.
