Hannah Stooksberry

Hannah Stooksberry was born April 17, 1851, in Tennessee, the daughter of Robert Stooksberry, Jr. and Jennie Sharp.

Hannah married Abraham Martin Sims on September 26, 1875, in Wayne County, Tennessee. Abraham Martin Sims was the son of Robert Sims, who was born May 14, 1783, in North Carolina and died March 21, 1842, in Wayne County, and Frances Howard Merritt, who died November 28, 1871, in Wayne County.

Abraham and Hannah owned a farm at the forks of Indian and Dry Creeks in Wayne County, in the center of the Sims Post Office Community. For many years Abraham was postmaster of the Sims Post Office, which was located in his home.
