Walter Thetford, Exec.
Deed to Solomon Hess

In pursuance of a decree of the Circuit Court of the County of Independence and State of Arkansas, made on the 3rd day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and thirty-nine, in a case wherein Solomon Hess was complainant and Walter Thetford, executor of the last will and testament of Joseph Taylor, deceased, was defendant.

Know all men by these presents that I, Walter Thetford, executor of the last will and testament of Joseph Taylor deceased, in consideration of the premises in said decree recited, do give bargain and sell unto the said Solomon Hess, his heirs and assigns forever, all and singular, the following tract or parcel of section sixteen (16), town thirteen (13) north and range eight (8) west, containing one hundred and fifty-two acres and ninety-one hundredths of an acre with all and singular rights, privileges and appurtenances there unto belonging, or in any way appertaining thereunto, and I, Walter Thetford, executor of the last will and testament of Joseph Taylor, dec'd, do covenant with the said Solomon Hess that at the time of sealing and acknowledging these presents as executor aforesaid, I have full right and lawful authority to convey the said premises in manner and form above written and that as executor of the last will and testament of Joseph Taylor I will warrant and defend the said premises unto the said Solomon Hess, his heirs and assigns forever against all lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal as executor of the last will and testament of Joseph Taylor, dec'd, this 15th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight-hundred and thirty-nine.
