Isabella Mallett was born in 1860, in Conway County, Arkansas, the daughter of Rev. John Mallett and Sabre Elizabeth Cargile.
Isabella married J. H. Wharton, who was born December 12, 1856. They had at least five children.
J. H. died July 14, 1890 and is buried in the Mallett Town Cemetery.
Isabella then married James Marion Mallett. James Marion Mallett was born March 3, 1869, at Mallett Town, in Conway County, the son of James T. Mallett and Hamour Jane Williams. Hamour Williams' half-brother, Isom Williams, married Isabella's sister, Hannah T. Mallett.
James Marion operated a store at Mallett Town for many years.
Isabella died in 1936. James died July 7, 1946. They are buried in the Mallett Town Cemetery.
