Martha Iva Walker was born May 22, 1898, at Tilly, in Pope County, Arkansas, the daughter of Richard Walker and Almeda Harmon.
Iva married Joseph Lee Michau who was born July 13, 1895, at Morrilton, in Conway County, Arkansas, the son of Joseph A. Michau and Addie P. (last name unknown). Joseph A. Michau was born December 1, 1851, and died August 20, 1917, at Morrilton. Addie was born February 7, 1869, and died October 29, 1948, at Morrilton. They are buried in Elmwood Cemetery at Morrilton.
Lee and Iva raised their family at Morrilton. The 1930 Conway County census, Welborn Township, shows Joseph L. Michau, owned his home worth $1600, 34 years old, married at 21, worked as a salesman for a biscuit company, was a World War 1 veteran; Iva M., 33, married at 19; Audry, 10; Beatrice, 8; and Edward Lee, 3 years old.
Lee died there on December 8, 1961. Iva died at Morrilton on September 8, 1971. They are buried in Elmwood Cemetery at Morrilton.
