(Information contributed by Patsy Fouts.) James Stanfield was born 1798 in Abbeville County, South Carolina, the son of John Stanfield and Sarah Roberts.
James married Catherine Eddleman on March 3, 1825 in Newton County, Georgia. Catherine Eddleman was born about 1806 in Walton County, Georgia.
James died October 10, 1863 in Notausulga, Alabama. Catherine died there March 18, 1870.
