The 1880 Taney County, Missouri census shows James and Dollie with their son, Finas E., 8-months old.
James and Dollie Sheridan moved their family to Arkansas prior to 1900 and appear on the 1900 Van Buren County census with children John O., 17; Mance, 15; Emma, 11; Claude, 8; John, 4 and Marshal, 1 year. The 1900 census shows that Dollie had given birth to 10 children, but only 9 were still living at that time.
The family moved to Searcy County, Arkansas prior to 1910 and settled in the Town of Leslie. The 1910 census shows Dr. James C. Sheridan working as a veterinary for Cooperage Company. The census shows that Dolly had given birth to 10 children, but only 7 were still living. Their sons Claude, 18, a laborer at the stave mill and Marshall, 11, were listed with their parents on the census. The 1920 census shows James and Dollie still living at Leslie. James had a general Veterinary practice and their son Marshall, 21, was still living at home and working at the barrel factory at Leslie.
