John English Horton, Jr. was born October 21, 1864, in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of John English Horton and Mary Otha Cathryn Cromwell.
John married Rebecca C. Kimbrough about 1884. Rebecca was born about 1865 and died about 1886. They had one daughter.
John then married Nancy Jane Lindsey, about 1889. Nancy Lindsey was born about 1868, the daughter of Hiram E. Lindsey and Sarah (last name unknown).
John died in 1939, in Wayne County.
