Janette Josephine "Josie" Sims was born January 19, 1861, in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of Hartwell Ebenezer John Shields Sims and Edith Malinda Caroline Youngblood.
Josie married William Townsend "Billy" Nowlin on January 19, 1882. Billy Nowlin was born July 8, 1857, the son of Stephen James Nowlin and Elizabeth Ellla Gallaher.
Josie died March 27, 1903. After her death, Billy married Ida Holt. Billy died July 9, 1942.
