John H. Horton was born December 4, 1854, in Searcy County, Arkansas. He was the son of George S. Horton and Virginia Jane Pigg.
John married Sarah Jameson on February 23, 1875. Sarah was born October 5, 1859, in Searcy County.
John and Sarah moved to Whitman County, Garfield County, Washington, prior to 1879. John died at Garfield, in Whitman County, in September 1931. Sarah died there on July 31, 1952.
