Joseph Christopher Wren was born February 1891, in Missouri, according to census. He was the son of James Alfred Wren and Mary Jane Martin.
Joseph appears with his family on the 1900 New Madrid County, Missouri census. The census lists him as 9 years old, born in Missouri.
The family moved to Iowa prior to 1907. The 1910 Muscatine County, Iowa census shows the family living in the City of Muscatine, next door to Joseph's brother John and his wife Emma. Joseph is listed as 19 on the census.
Joseph married Amy Townsend about 1910-1912. Amy Townsend was born about 1892, in Missouri.
The 1920 Muscatine County census shows Joe, 28, born in Missouri; Amy, 27, born in Missouri; son James, 6, born in Iowa; son Kennedy, 4, born in Iowa, son Joseph, 3 years and 3 months, born in Iowa; and daughter Naomi, 2 years and 3 months, born in Iowa.
Joseph died in May 1946, at Muscatine. Amy also died at Muscatine. They are buried in Greenwood Cemetery at Muscatine.
