The 1880 Butler County, Kansas census, Richland Township shows J. Taylor Maiden, 32, born in Illinois; Margaret, wife, 22, born in Iowa; Daisy, daughter, 6, born in Iowa, Bertha, daughter, 3, born in Iowa; and Jennie, daughter, 8 months, born in Kansas.
