Martha Kellie Cargile

Martha Kellie Cargile was born February 8, 1862, at Springfield, in Conway County, Arkansas, the daughter of Robert Lewis Cargile and Hannah (last name unknown).

The 1870 Conway County census shows Kellie, age 10, living in Union Township near Springfield with her family. The 1880 Conway County census shows Martha C., age 16, living with her family near Springfield.

Kellie married William Robert Armor on February 5, 1882, in Conway County. William Robert Armor was born July 1855, in Powder Springs, Georgia. He was a Methodist minister.

The 1900 Conway County census shows the family living at Springfield in Union Township. The census shows William R. Armor, 45, born June 1855, married 18 years, a farmer who owned his farm; Kelly M., wife, 38, born February 1862, had given birth to 6 children, 5 children still living; Robert L., son, 17, born December 1882; Carra D., daughter, 10, born September 1889; Roger W., son, 9, born March 1891; Hannah, daughter, 5, born September 1894; and Floyd, son, 3, born September 1895.

The 1910 Conway County, Arkansas census, shows the family living in the Town of Springfield in Union Township. The census shows William R. Armor, 55, married 1 time for 28 years, a farmer; Kellie, wife, 47, had given birth to 8 children, 7 children still living; Dannie, daughter, 21, a teacher; Roger W., son, 19, a farm laborer; Hannah, daughter, 16; Floyd, son, 14, a farm laborer; William, son, 9; and Earl, son, 7 years old.

 William died between 1910 and 1920, probably at Springfield, in Conway County.   Kellie moved to Texas prior to 1930.   She appears on the 1930 Bexar Co, TX census, where she was living with her daughter Hannah and her family.   Kellie died March 24, 1942 at San Antonio, Texas.
