Leslie Wayne Gloden was born April 20, 1895, at Decatur, in Macon County, Illinois, the son of John Michael Gloden and Lillie Coulter.
Wayne married Matilda Ann Walters on December 12, 1917, at Guymon, in Texas County, Oklahoma. Matilda Walters was born May 30, 1900, in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of William F. Walters and Hettie Wright.
Wayne and Matilda raised their family at Guymon. Wayne died there January 8, 1970. Matilda died there April 30, 1980.
