Malinda Elizabeth Kelley was born about 1836, in Tennessee, the daughter of John H. "Jackie" Kelley and Polina "Nancy Ann" Horton.
Malinda married George W. Blassingame about 1852. Three children were born to this union.
Malinda married John Franklin Manuel on March 15, 1868, in Searcy County, Arkansas. John Manuel was born about 1837, in Wayne County, Tennessee. He was the son of Greenberry Manuel and Hannah Helton.
The 1880 Searcy County, Arkansas census, Bear Creek Township, shows Frank Manuel, 44; Linda, wife, 44; Minta, daughter, 12; Bailey, son, 10; Mary, daughter, 7; George, son, 5; Martha, daughter, 3; and Susan, daughter, 1 month old.
Malinda died May 20, 1890, in Searcy County. John died there on April 13, 1895.
