Letha Susan Pierce was born in 1871, at Big Spring, Stone County, Arkansas, the daughter of James Payton Pierce and Lucinda Thompson.
Letha married James Abram Gower on July 19, 1894, in Stone County. James Gower was the son of Jackson Gower and Mary Anderson.
