Martha Jane Horton was born March 4, 1831, in Tennessee, the daughter of William Horton and America Cheek.
Martha married William Thomas Fisher on January 9, 1848, in Wayne County, Tennessee. Thomas Fisher was born about 1827, in Maury County, Tennessee.
Thomas and Martha moved to Searcy County, Arkansas, about 1851, probably at the same time that several other Horton and affiliated families moved to Arkansas.
Thomas died March 4, 1884, probably in Searcy County. Martha Jane died January 4, 1911, probably in Searcy County.
