Mary "Polly" Thompson was born December 15, 1813, the daughter of Zachariah Thompson and Charity Cypert.
Polly married Thomas Smith on November 3, 1831, in Wayne County, Tennessee. Polly died August 1, 1846. The 1850 Wayne County census shows Polly's children (except John, who died in 1846) living with her parents, Zachariah and Charity Thompson.
