Mary Ellen Gloden was born January 18, 1891, at Decatur, in Macon County, Illinois, the eldest child of John Michael Gloden and Lillie Coulter.
Mary Ellen married Charles Sumpter Anderson on January 12, 1921. They settled at Decatur, where they raised their family.
Charles died in 1938. Mary Ellen died November 5, 1968, at Decatur.
