Nancy Caroline "Nan" Greeson was born October 8, 1871, in Hardin County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of David C. Greeson and Sarah Ann Elizabeth Berry.
Nan married Matthew Harve Stricklin on January 15, 1888, in Wayne County, Tennessee.
Harve Stricklin was born February 14, 1869, in Wayne County. Harve was the son of James Hiram Stricklin (born 1825; died 1902) and Nancy C. Danniels. James Hiram Stricklin was the son of Thomas Stricklin (born 1805 in North Carolina) and Mary Ann Strain (born about 1807 in Alabama). Thomas Stricklin was the son of John Stricklin (born ca. 1775, in North Carolina) and Martha Cole (born ca. 1786). Martha Cole's parents were Frances "Frank" Cole and Elizabeth Cole. Mary Ann Strain's parents were James Q. Strain and Catherine Adams.
Harve was a farmer and served as postmaster of Cypress Inn, Tennessee, from 1921 to 1940. Nan had her hands full caring for her large family.
Harve died June 11, 1943, in Wayne County. He is buried in the Lutts Cemetery. Nan died April 17, 1948, in Wayne County and is buried beside her husband.
