Nettie Pearl Horton was born November 1, 1889, at Canaan, in Searcy County, Arkansas, the daughter of Jacob Gilroy Horton and Virginia Belle Wright.
Nettie married John Cornelious Cassell on September 19, 1907, in Searcy County. John Cassell was born March 1, 1887, at Watts, in Searcy County, the son of Jackson Cassell and Nancy Eveline Bohannon.
John died at Harrison, in Boone County, Arkansas, on March 10, 1972. Nettie died at Canaan, in Searcy County, on June 17, 1977.
