The 1830 Haywood County, Tennessee census, shows Richard's family living in the Town of Brownville. His father was living in the area near Brownville. The census shows Richard George, a male 20-29 (1801-1810), one male 5-9 (1821-1825), two males under 5 (1826-1830), one female 20-29 (1801-1810) and one female under 5 (1826-1830).
Richard appears on the 1840 Haywood County, Tennessee, census living next to his father. The census shows Richard George, a male 30-39, one male 10-14 (1826-1830), two males under 5 (1836-1840), one female 30-39, one female 10-14 (1826-1830), one female 5-9 (1831-1835) and one female under 5 (1836-1840).
About 1841, Richard and his father Benjamin, both moved their families to Arkansas. Both families settled in Izard County, Arkansas. Records show that Richard paid personal property taxes in Izard County in 1845.
Richard died between 1845 and 1849.
Nancy was listed as head of the household on the 1850 Izard County, Rocky Bayou Township census. The census shows Nancy George, 48; Thomas, 24; Marinda, 21; Catharine, 18; Susan, 16; John H., 14; Benjamin, 12; Andrew J., 9 and Richard F., 7 years old. Nancy was living next door to her widowed mother-in-law, Rachel George.
Prior to 1860, Nancy moved to Texas with her younger children. The 1860 Van Zandt County, Texas census, Edom Beat, Edom Post Office, shows Nancy George, 60, a farmer, $1250 personal property, born in NC; J. H., 21, student, born in TN; Benj., 20, farmer, born in TN; Andrew, 18, farmer, born in AR, and Richd, 15, born in AR.
