(Information contributed by Patsy Fouts.) Richard Meyers Stanfield was born November 16, 1829, in Gwinnett County, Georgia, the son of Robert J. Stanfield and Bethena Meyers Waggoner.
Richard married Sarah Ellen Harris on August 3, 1853. Sarah Harris was born January 20, 1834.
The family appears on the 1870 Walker County, Georgia census living at Rock Springs. Richard is listed as a shoemaker.
Richard died May 7, 1910 and is buried in Woodstation Cemetery in Caloosa County, Georgia. Sarah died November 10, 1918, in Walker County, Georgia.
