Sarah Ann Wren was born March 1, 1888, the daughter of James Alfred Wren and Mary Jane Martin.
Sarah appears on the 1900 New Madrid County, Missouri census with her parents. The census lists her as 12 years old.
The family moved to Iowa prior to 1907. They settled in Muscatine County.
Sarah married Edward W. Wagler on September 25, 1907, at Muscatine. Edward Wagler was born June 23, 1886, in Gridley, Kansas, the son of Christian Wagler and Magdalena Schlegel. Christian Wagler was born in 1846 and died in Illinois in 1926. Magdalena was born in 1848 and died in Kansas in 1899.
The 1920 Mercer County, Illinois census, Eliza Township, shows Ed Waggler, 32, a farmer; Sarah, wife, 30; Lloyde, son, 11; Viola, daughter, 8 and Mary Wren, mother-in-law, 70, widowed.
Edward died May 17, 1952. Sarah Ann died September 12, 1980, at Long Beach, California.
