Stephen George Sypert was born in 1827, in Wilson County, Tennessee, the son of Hardy Sanders Sypert and Ann (Rogers) Donelson.
Stephen married Mary Killebrew. Stephen was a rancher. He served as a scout in the Confederate Army in the Civil War, and fought in the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee.
Mary died in 1876. Stephen died November 7, 1905, at Mt. Calm, Texas.
