Sina Elizabeth "Lizzie" Crow was born April 15, 1850, in Guilford County, North Carolina, the daughter of John Henry Crow and Sarah Jane Rollins. Lizzie's headstone shows her year of birth as 1855. We know this is not correct as she is listed on the 1850 census.
One month old Lizzie appears on the 1850 Guilford County census with her family. The family moved to Independence County, Arkansas, in 1853. The 1860 Independence County census shows Elizabeth to be 9 years old.
Lizzie married James Calvin Dockins on December 4, 1881, in Independence County. James Dockins was born August 6, 1849.
James died May 3, 1908, at Cushman, in Independence County. He is buried in the Nail Cemetery at Cushman. James does not have a marker at his grave.
The 1910 Sharp County, Arkansas, census shows Sina E. Dockins, age 55, a widow, had given birth to four children, but only one child was still living. Living with her was that child, Margin M. Dockins, age 16.
Lizzie died October 21, 1921, and is buried in the Cave City Cemetery.
