Personally appeared before me, Lewis T. Waugh, an acting Justice of the Peace within and for the County aforesaid, Nimrod Ford, Sterling Williams and John Martin, who after being by me first duly sworn, deposeth and saith that they are householders of the County of Independence aforesaid, and that they are not interested or of kin to any person interested in the estate of Solomon Hess, deceased, as heir or legatee, and that they will according to the best of their abilities view and appraise the slaves and other personal property to them produced by Nancy Hess, executrix of the estate of Solomon Hess, deceased, as the property of said estate.
