Susanna E. Branham was born April 3, 1834, in Tennessee, the daughter of William Branham and Arenna R. (last name unknown).
Susanna appears on the 1840 Blount County, Alabama, census with her family. The census shows her as a female 5-10 years old. The 1850 Blount County census lists her as Susan, age 17.
Susanna married Oliver T. Hill on April 15, 1855, in Blount County. Oliver Hill was born about 1827, in Kentucky, according to census records.
Oliver and Susanna appear on the 1860 Blount County census, living next door to her sister, Jane H. Farley, and near her parents, William and Arenna. Their two children are listed on the census.
We do not know if Oliver and Susanna moved to Searcy County, Arkansas, when William moved his family there in 1860 or 1861. We do not know if Oliver and Susanna moved on to Illinois with the other Branham family members between late 1862 and early 1865. We currently have no further information on Oliver and Susanna or their children.
