Thomas Wayne Horton was born January 23, 1871, in Arkansas, the son of Peter Henderson T. Horton, Jr. and Sarah Jane Morrison.
Thomas Wayne married Matilda Jane Lay, who was born in 1874, the daughter of John Wesley Lay and Sarah A. Horton.
