William Jefferson Kelley was born March 26, 1832, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, the son of John H. "Jackie" Kelley and Polina "Nancy Ann" Horton.
The Kelley family moved to Arkansas about 1851, settling in Searcy County.
William married Anjaline Martha Sutterfield about 1856, in Searcy County, Arkansas. William died at Campbell, in Searcy County, on June 12, 1914.
