William H. Endicott was born about 1820, in Indiana, the son of Joseph Nation Endicott and Elizabeth Varner.
William appears to have married about 1837-1838. At least one child was born to William and his first wife. We assume she died prior to 1843.
William married Susan Saltzman on December 14, 1843. Susan Saltzman was born about 1825, in Indiana.
The 1850 Posey County, Indiana census shows William, 30, a farmer; Susan, 25; Orvis, 12; Mary, 2; and William, 5 months old. They were living next door to his father Joseph Nation Endicott, in Harmony Township.
