William Rufus "Tobe" Sypert was born October 5, 1841, in Shelby County, Texas, the son of William Carroll Sypert and Permelia Ben Perry.
William Rufus married Etna Reed on January 1, 1868, in Bell County, Texas. Etna Reed was born November 11, 1845 and died May 1, 1890. They had about 7 children (names unknown at this time).
William Rufus then married Ada Frances Smith, who was born July 18, 1887. They had 6 children.
William Rufus died January 5, 1923. Ada died May 8, 1975.
