Zackary Taylor Sypert was born April 26, 1848, in Wilson County, Tennessee, the son of Robert Bell Sypert and Juliet Jackson.
Zack was "to young to bear arms" during the Civil War, but enlisted on February 15, 1865 and served as a drummer boy in the Louisiana Light Artillery CSA.
Zackary married Barbara A. Killingsworth on August 9, 1871, at Hallsville, Harrison County, Texas. Barbara Killingsworth was born about 1848, the daughter of John Killingsworth and Mary Guice.
Zackary and Barbara had one child. The marriage soon ended in divorce. Barbara then married Franklin Gracie Robison in 1872, in Henderson County, Texas. Barbara died in 1940, in Healdton, Carter County, Oklahoma.
Zackary married Nannie Lowry on December 12, 1878. Nannie Lowry was born September 15, 1849, in Kentucky, the daughter of U. H. Lowry.
Zackary died July 19, 1922, at Hallsville, Harrison County, Texas. Nannie died June 29, 1930, at Hallsville.
