Albert Leroy Wren

Albert Leroy Wren was born in 1950, at Muscatine, in Muscatine County, Iowa, the son of Robert Laverne Wren and Elizabeth Annie "Betty" Bush.

Albert's parents divorced when he was small and his mother moved the family to Arkansas. She married Willie Felkins and settled at Morrilton, in Conway County.

Albert enlisted in the U. S. Army and upon discharge joined his mother and siblings at Morrilton.

Albert married Carol Susan Bridgman on October 29, 1971, in Conway County. Carol Bridgman was born in 1951, at Solgohachia, in Conway County, the daughter of Herbert Howard Bridgman and Maggie May Horton. Carol is my sister.

Albert and Carol settled for a brief time in Conway County, where their first child was born. Albert soon re-enlisted in the Army, however, making a career of the military. He and his family were stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma twice, in Germany twice, and at Aberdeen, Maryland and Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Albert also served a tour of duty in Korea. He retired at Ft. Knox in 1991 and the family returned to Conway County, buying a home at Plumerville near Carol's parents and her sisters family. Their second child was born during their second tour of duty in Germany.

Carol worked as a cook in the South Conway County School District for some years after their return to Morrilton.
