Geneva Lacook was born at Ada Valley, in Conway County, Arkansas, the daughter of Loy Lenzy Laycook and Velma Gertrude Wallace.
Geneva married Jack Patton Brown on August 24, 1940, in Conway County. Jack was born March 10, 1916, at Ada Valley. He was the youngest of seven children born to William Ulesses Brown and Malissa Hightower.
William U. Brown was born August 23, 1879, in Perry County, Arkansas. He married Malissa Hightower on June 26, 1904, in Conway County. Malissa was born August 27, 1882, in Arkansas. She died May 15, 1916, in Ada Valley, just 5 days after the birth of their youngest child. William died September 10, 1957. William and Malissa are buried in Ada Valley Cemetery. William and Malissa's children were: Novalee Brown (b. abt 1905), Golda Brown (b. abt 1907), William Roy Brown (b. 1908; d. 1983), Bessie C. Brown (b. abt 1909), Otto I. Brown (b. abt 1912), Ned C. Brown (b. abt 1914) and Jack Patton Brown (b. 1916).
Jack and Geneva raised their children in Ada Valley. Jack worked for some years for Gov. Winthrope Rockefeller at his farm (Winrock Farms) on Petit Jean Mountain, in Conway County.
Jack died May 18, 2000, in Ada Valley and is buried in Ada Valley Cemetery.
